Double Trouble #157

We’re starting our new challenge today, #157, where Thing 1 is looking for you to use a stencil or embossing folder on your card or project that has a winter feel to it.

Thing 3 has the optional twist to include some sort of winter play or sports item – sleigh, ice skates, skiing, etc. If you want to go even one step further, since January 15th is National Hat Day, you can include a hat as well.

Finally, our partner challenge this time is Farm Quest Challenge #44, so if you have played along with our optional twist of including a winter sports item you are eligible to link up there too!

The Quick and Simple Details:

  • Stencil by Gina K. Designs and used with embossing paste, then sprinkled with sparkly glitter
  • Image from My Favorite Things, Pure Innocence line
  • Coloring with Copic markers
  • Background blended with distress oxide inks

Additional Challenges:

Allsorts #763 – anything goes + option to make your own background

Passion for Markers #721 – use a stencil

My Favorite Things – Ready, Set, Christmas Challenge

Four Seasons – anything goes for winter

  1. Such a sweet image, Melanie! I knew it was from MFT when I saw it. Beautifully colored with soft hues and I love the big snowflake background. – Melanie R.

  2. Absolutely beautiful! Love the large snowflake, great idea to use embossing paste instead of ink (which I usually seem to do) and love that cute image too! Thank you so much for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge as well as Four Seasons!

  3. This is lovely!!! Pink and purple are my two favorite colors so my eyes perked up when I saw your card! 🙂 The jumbo snowflake reminds me of all the snow we’ve received this week! The little girl looks though that she doesn’t mind and wants to be sledding! Thanks for being part of the DTCB team and sharing your card for the collaboration at FarmQuest! And don’t forget that you can link to FarmQuest General Store and FarmQuest Country Christmas as well! –Becca
