Wax Seals Birthday Card

For some reason these wax seals have been calling out to me lately so of course I decided that I needed to buy the kit from Spellbinders and see what I could do with them. They are a lot of fun to make, working them onto a card design has not been so easy! This is the first card I finally finished with them.

I chose the colors from challenge #588 at Color My Heart Color Dare for the inspiration of today’s card. I used journey, sundance, paprika, and the background is closer to lagoon in real life than in the photo.

The Quick and Simple Details:

  • background embossed with retired folder from Stampin’ Up!
  • wax seals made with assorted colored collection from Recollections
  • wax “stamp” from Honey Bee
  • Sentiment from Taylored Expressions
  • adhered a small amount of rafia behind each seal

Additional Challenges:

NBUS #59 – use stuff that you have not used before

Allsorts #768 – Anything Goes

613 Avenue Create – Anything Goes
