Festive Friday #103

Happy Festive Friday! This week our new challenge is in honor of National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day. We created our Inspo List with ideas that were inspired by our festivity. To join in the challenge just choose any 3 (or more) of the items from the list and use them on your card or project. Whether you want to follow the theme of the festivity or not is up to you!

I chose quite a few items from the list this time: baked goods, brown, texture, twine, and circles. The cookies are from a digital image, I had a hard time finding one that looked like peanut butter cookies because almost everything out there had chocolate chips. (Although I do love a good peanut butter with chocolate chips in it too!)

I used some white core paper for the background. After embossing it, I used a little sander to take off some of the paper and bring out the white. I found another patterned paper for the bottom, separated the two with some twine, and finished off with the sentiment.

  1. So many great elements to this card Melanie – and I love that sentiment! I once did exactly that when out with friends – it’s so fun to eat dinner completely in reverse, dessert is ALWAYS the best part in my book!

  2. What a yummy card, Melanie! These cookies look delicious. I love how you sanded the embossed circles. They coordinate so well with the pattern paper. Have a wonderful week!

  3. Melanie, I love the three repetitions of circles and all that wonderful texture and I swear I can smell those cookies they look so real! Fabulous card.
