Krafty Chicks #605 – Anything Goes

Happy Krafty Chicks Thursday! We are on our 5th Thursday of the month which means our theme for this week’s challenge is “Anything Goes.”

My card today is pretty simple, that is since the background was previously made! When I get out the alcohol inks I like to make a lot of backgrounds at once, then use them as I want, or for cutting out die cuts with. This one went well with Easter colors so I finally used a Newton’s Nook stamp I bought a couple of years ago, colored it to match, and used a simple rectangle die to cut it out with.

This is our final week with Tenia Nelson as our guest designer, we’d like to say thanks for joining us this month. Please visit her blog Jazzy Paper Designs as well as the other chicks blogs for more ideas and inspiration!

  1. Oh look at that pretty background! You’ve done well to not make all those colours end up looking ‘muddy’. Your bunny is so cute too. Thanks for playing along with Color My Heart Color Dare. X

  2. I’m new to alcohol ink backgrounds but I love the effect and you never get the same results. Your bunny is so adorable tucked into a flower bouquet.
    Love your card!

  5. The alcohol inks are a perfect, bright background to your cute bunny image. Thanks for joining in at Inkspirational Challenges.

  6. Melanie, what a beautiful background you created. My daughter, she too does a lot of backgrounds and have them so readily available. And your image and coloring are such a great match to your personalized background… stunning card. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Dare.

  7. The inky background is beautiful. Its perfect for an Easter card because it reminds me of what Easter Eggs look like when you dye them yourself. Thanks so much for sharing with Colour Dare Challenge. I hope you can join us again soon. (Sorry for the lateness of my commenting).
