#106 Festive Friday – World Art Day

Greetings! It’s Festive Friday so that means we have a new challenge starting today over at the Festive Friday website. For challenge #105 we are recognizing World Art Day, and the Inspo List below has 10 items that were inspired by the festivity. To play along in the challenge just choose any 3 (or more) of the items from the list to use on your card or project. You can follow the theme of the festivity or you can go with any theme you want, it’s up to you!

The items I used from the list were ombre, easel, and frame. I started by blending a background with distress oxide inks going from a greenish to blue color, and then spritzed it with some water. I colored the images from a set by Taylored Expressions and cut them out. I added the frames behind them and used a sentiment from a set by Stampin’ Up to add to the middle.

  1. What a fun card, Melanie! I love how you framed the images. The easel and all of the daisies are adorable. The background is amazing! Have a wonderful week!

  2. This is a great card, Melanie. I love the background (very artsy) and the design with the tilted frames and art supplies over the edges. I love the oval for the sentiment in between. Perfect make for our challenge.

  3. Melanie, these are words to live by! I love the ombre background and your flower bucket with the colored pencils and your little easel with the work of art! fabulous card
