Festive Friday Pup

I’m very excited about today’s post, it is my first contribution as a member of the design team at Festive Friday Challenges! Each challenge is based around a holiday or special day. Starting from there an “Inspo List” of 10 items is selected to use as inspiration for creating your project.

Here’s the fun part and most important thing to remember: Although the list is based on a holiday, your final creation does not have to reflect that – it only needs to include any 3 of the items listed. In other words, you have a lot of flexibility to use the holiday – or not!

Here is the list for challenge #0065, celebrating National Dog Day:

The 3 items I chose from the list were paw print, dog, and loyalty/love sentiment. (I included a few others as well, but only 3 are required.) The stamp set I used is called “Furever Friends” from My Favorite Things, from which I stamped and colored the puppy, and made the paw print background. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strip set “Woof.” I did a little die cutting, embossing, and sponging to make the hearts, and finished by putting it all together.

The challenge closes on Monday, August 17, so there is plenty of time to use that Inspo List and join in the challenge.

  1. This is such an adorable card, Melanie. That little pup is so cute, and you’ve colored him/her beautifully. Love the little paw prints in the background and the sentiment is perfect. I am so happy to be one of the new FF DT members and to have the opportunity to design with you and the rest of the FF team!
