It’s Monday and the start of two new challenges, one at Always Fun (#219) and one at Double Trouble (#87).
At Always Fun we have a theme of “add a window.” As you can see on my card I used a die cut to create a window and a frame to go around it, so when you open the card you see the cat that was peeking through on the inside.
At Double Trouble the challenge has several parts, although the only thing required to join is what Thing 1 is asking for, and that is to use either squares or circles (or both) on your card. Thing 3 has an optional twist to use embossing on your card – dry or heat embossing. Finally Thing 2 is inviting you to use the sketch from Try Stampin’ On Tuesday #512 and enter your card in their challenge too.
The QUICK and SIMPLE details: Image is from Jane’s Doodles set “Cats.” Colored with Copic Markers, basket is paper pieced. I added a second frame to follow the sketch, and used some brads to cover the corners where there was a small gap between the layers. On the second card I embossed the background and added a small ball of yarn.
