Apple Day for Festive Friday

Hello, and welcome! Today is the start of the new challenge at Festive Friday and this time the festivity we are celebrating is “Apple Day.” Even though our Inspo List is inspired by the festivity, remember you only need to use any 3 (or more) of the items on the list to include on your card or project. Whether you follow the festivity is totally up to you!

The items I used from the list were red, gingham, and baking.

The image is a digital image I purchased from Mo’s Digital Pencil, the work of artist Mo Manning. I colored it with Copic markers, and also used paper piecing for the dress and socks. I chose the paper behind the image to get a little contrast with all the red, a couple banners to add some extra details, and found a sentiment from a current Stampin’ Up set called “What’s Cookin’.”

  1. Melanie, how CUTE is she… especially in her little gingham dress. I love how you arranged the papers in the top corner and how the gingham there ties to the gingham in her dress. Fabulously colored image, too!

  2. Oh my gosh…talk about cute cards, Melanie! This little gal is adorable in her red gingham paper-pieced dress. Your coloring is spot on, as always. Who wouldn’t want to receive this day brightener!!!
