Sailing for Double Trouble

Welcome and thanks for checking out today’s card – my inspiration for the new challenge starting at Double Trouble (#81).

If you would like to play along all that’s required to enter is what Thing 1 is asking. For this challenge it is to include a favorite summer activity or vacation spot. If you would like to take on the optional challenge of Thing 3, then include a cloud or word bubble with a sentiment on your card or project. Finally, if you have included both of those you have the option to join our partner challenge at Cupcake Inspirations. Click on the image below to visit the Double Trouble blog and get all the details!

I made the background for my card by using a blending brush to apply the two different colors. The paper was from a Stampin’ Up promotion quite a few years ago, it has a coating that resists ink, so only the areas that aren’t coated take the ink. I stamped and die cut the layers for the sailboat image, which is also from Stampin’ Up’s set called “Sailing Home,” then die cut the clouds for the sentiment. I balanced out the card by adding the twine on the side.

If you would like to join in the challenge you may link up your project until 4/18, hope to see your creation in the gallery!

I would also like to join the challenge at Just Us Girls (#578) – word week: Stripes
