Kindness for the Alphabet Challenge

Greetings on this Friday! As we work our way through the alphabet at the Alphabet Challenge we are on the letter “K” and we have chosen the word “Kindness” for our theme – you must use the word on your card.

The challenge is open for two weeks, so if you would like to link up a card or project you can do so through Wednesday, September 8.

The QUICK and SIMPLE details: I found a sentiment I liked in one of my sentiment sets from My Favorite Things, and it made me think of the image I used, which is from Unity Stamp Company. I colored it with Copic marker, die cut the image with a die from My Favorite Things. I inked the background of the image with some distress oxide inks. That looked a little too plain on the purple so I added some torn vellum behind it (edges were distressed to give them a little more texture). Some enamel dots and sequins were added to finish it off.

  1. Such a pretty card, Melanie! The sentiment is perfect for your stamped image and love how you colored it! Your background layering really highlights the focal image. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
