It’s not Monday, but it is the start of a new challenge at Double Trouble! Our new challenge (#92) will run until Sunday, September 19th.
In summary, Thing 1 doesn’t have a specific theme to follow, but is asking for you to make a fun fold card. There are so many different ones to pick from, but if you want some ideas check out the challenge blog for some links to several different tutorials. (The dimensions and a little video for the card I made are shown below.)
Thing 3 has an optional twist, which is to use at least one of the PlayDoh colors shown – purple, red, green, blue, orange, or yellow.
Finally, if you would like to go for the Double Dare by Thing 2, we are partnering with the Creative Creases Challenge, so you can link up your card there too.
I made a card that will fold flat and will fit in an A2 envelope, not an official name, but a “Box Step Card” is a good description. The first image shows the card while it is flat, and there is a little video below it that shows how it opens and stands up.
Here are the dimensions if you would like to give this fold a try, the photo shows you how they attach to each other from the side:
Base: 4 1/2″ x 11″ (score at 1/2″, 2″, 4″, and 5 1/2″)
Front piece: 3″ x 5″ (score at 1/2″ and 2″)
