Alphabet Challenge – X

We are starting a new challenge to day over at the Alphabet Challenge. Our letter this time is “X,” which is kind of a hard one to come up with a good theme for. Well Veronica was in charge of choosing this time, and she went with X is for “xanthic” which means of or relating to a yellow color. So it turns out to be a pretty easy challenge, just highlight yellow on your card or project!

My background was created with an Altenew 3-D folder. I simply used a blending brush to lightly add the yellow and green. At first I was a little disappointed because the color was only hitting such a small area, but when it was done and mounted on the yellow and green I decided that the light color was enough. I found the sentiment from one of the sets in my stash, and paired it with a birthday wish on the inside.

  1. Such a beautiful birthday card, I love your interpretation of xanthic and I think the light colour on the embossed background is perfect for your creation. It highlights the blooms and still gives enough space for the sentiment to shine. The layering of different papers is something I do in my cards, too, I think it’s a good way to bring the motif and the card base together.

    Hugs, Veronika
