Birthday Splash!

Summer is definitely here in AZ – 115 degrees yesterday! What that means for me is more time inside and for playing in my craft room!

One of my favorite stamp companies is My Favorite Things, so I decided to use their interactive swing dies, along with this stamp set called “Sunshine & Friendship,” to create a card with movement. (Motivated by the challenge at Just Us Girls #636, as well as several other challenges with a “summer” theme.) The alligator moves back and forth, getting ready to jump in the water with the other critters. The two photos below show it in different places. *Remember, attach a penny to the back of your swinging element to keep it swinging!

I had no real plan when putting this card together, I did a little bit of everything – die cutting, stenciling, the waves were the last scrap I had left over from a background I made a while ago, coloring and cutting, embossing, etc.! Anyway, when I finally finished it I realized my cousin’s birthday is Sunday so I better get it mailed today!
