The challenge starting today at Make the Cards (#57) is a color challenge – any shade of blue. We are looking for a card where the dominant color is some shade (or shades) of blue.
I used a background stamp from Simon Says Stamp that was heat embossed with white, then “smooshed” in wet distress oxide ink. I did the process a couple of times to get some good variation in the color. I added some starfish, the sentiment, and a few water droplet to finish it off.
Your card caught my eye as I was looking through various challenge blogs today, Mel. I ran across this background stamp in my stash the other day. A lonely never used stamp. Now you have inspired me to use it. I love the way your inking came out. Beautiful variation in color. Gonna get this baby out ant work it. Thanks for the inspiration!
